The artist has handed over the full amount of his twenty-five thousand pound Mercury Prize cash to the Music Venues Trust, which functions to protect the United Kingdom's small concert spaces.
He was presented with the award on October 16 as his new release his work was named the top album of the past year.
Fender has decided to donate the funds to the Music Venues Trust, in recognition of the essential function small stages played in his early career.
"I would not have achieved what I am doing today if it weren't for all the shows I did around the region, and elsewhere, when I was beginning," said Fender. "These spaces are renowned, but they are struggling."
Since the start of 2023, at least 150 of these locations have shut down – roughly one-sixth of the entire UK sector.
Recently, well-known musicians like the band Pulp, Coldplay, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all backed the trust in its attempts to help venues survive, by applying a minor surcharge to their ticket prices, which supports local stages.
Sam Fender also joined in, generating more than £100,000 on his live tour to assist 38 grassroots venues across Britain.
The donation supported locations that were confronting imminent closure due to challenges stemming from water damage, fires and bereavements, as well as licensing issues, legal disputes and noise complaints.
Some locations obtained financial assistance in upgrading facilities and technical equipment that positively impacted musicians and fans.
"The concept that revenue from performances in big venues supports the independent spots, where it begins for artists like me, is just logical," Fender has stated.
Fender is not the first artist to give his honor funds to charitable organizations.
Back when the band won the award in the mid-90s for their record the album, lead singer Jarvis Cocker declared that the band would donate their prize money to the non-profit War Child.
During 2002, musician the artist split her bounty across several organizations, such as the children's charity and a charity for Sickle Cell.

Previously, they donated their funds to the community center that nurtured their band, as well as other grassroots music organisations.
Additionally winners that year M People donated their award to a charity for MS after a acquaintance was diagnosed the disease.
"Receiving the award was ample," remarked vocalist the singer. "The money was the extra but we didn't require the extra, because we had the main prize. So our success affected another person's life."
In the past week, the trust shared it had protected two local spots in south-east England, by placing them under community ownership.
One venue in Southampton and the other in Bristol were bought under the Own Our Venues scheme, which is supported by the arts council and enthusiasts who purchase "ownership units" in the buildings.
